It's been a while!
Old age is slowing me down!
We have been spending as much time as possible
with our precious Amelia!
Here are her Easter pics!

And, here is a pic of her enjoying some time swinging!
I just love that little angel!
She has filled our hearts with joy!
She will be 1 on May 7th!
It is hard to believe how fast the year has gone by!
We are so thankful to our God for this little miracle!

Well, the Spring cleaning is under way!
I'm working on the pantry & will soon do the other kitchen cabinets!
My coupons are behind!
I need to get on that soon too!
Better get to work & off the computer!

Amelia is absolutely amazing!
This is a photo Erin took of her yesterday!
She started out on her play mat in the middle of the room! Erin didn't see how she got to the toy under the tripod! Maybe she is crawling or maybe she scooted over there!
Either way, I am grateful to our Awesome God for the progress she is making!
She truly is a miracle baby!

Amelia had her 9 month check up with the  pediatrician on Friday!
She weighs 13 1/2 lbs.
She is very close to crawling!
She gets up on her knees, but hasn't quite got the moving forward part yet!
She is really doing well!
And, she loves her Nonna!
We have facetime on days that I don't get to go see her!
Things are busy as usual here!
In addition to the usual routine, I'm planning a trip to Gatlinburg with my hubby
to celebrate our 35th Anniversary!
I'm so excited to get a break!

It is a busy day for me!
Laundry, housework, clipping & organizing coupons,
& trying to stay awake in this rainy weather!
We got up at 4 am!
I might need a power nap this afternoon!
Well, I guess I'd better get busy!
Have a fantabulous day!
And maybe we should try

Christmas 2012

I haven't talked about our Christmas yet!
I started off the new year talking about my personal goals!
So, now let me tell you about Christmas!
Sunday, Dec. 23rd., we went to church at our home church, Calvary Baptist in Smyrna!
Our pastor spoke on "The Value, Benefit & Joy of Joy!"
It was a very encouraging message on true joy.
Joy is not happiness!
Happiness is based on outer circumstances ( things that happen in life).
Joy is based on inner circumstance (invisible; a relationship with God).

On Christmas Eve, we had  our annual family Christmas party at our home!
This year, we had new family in attendance; Amelia of course, and Erin's aunt Pam & uncle Johnny!
One of my brothers & his family were not able to attend. We missed them!

Then on Christmas morning, we went to Eric & Erin's house for brunch & to see Amelia open presents!
She loved tearing the paper!
We had a lovely brunch with them & with Pam & Johnny.
It was so much fun to spend time with family & enjoy Amelia's first Christmas!
She also enjoyed touching the tree & looking at the lights!
We are amazed at what a miracle she is!
God has truly blessed us with this precious child!
She is doing so well!
We are thankful to God for this little miracle!
I hope all of my friends had a wonderful Christmas too!

Psalm 121:1-2
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth."

So far the year is starting off very productively! The laundry is started, the store's bookeeping for today is done, dinner is in the crockpot (Creamy Ham & Potato Soup), and the Christmas decorations are beginning to come down! I am thankful to God for giving me physical strength to do my work and wisdom to know when to rest my arthritic knees!

I'm not one to make resolutions, but I have a few personal goals in mind for the new year!
I want to be diligent in my morning quiet time!
My days run much smoother when I spend time with the Lord each morning!
I want to be more organized in my home & every aspect of my life!
I want to record in my journal daily!
I missed recording a lot of important life events over the last few years!
I want to learn more about blogging, so that I can begin to make money doing it!
I want to eat healthier & exercise regularly!
And I want to spend more time with my family!

Yesterday, I got to babysit Amelia for Eric & Erin to have a little date time!
That little miracle is so precious!
She is growing more & more each day!
And you know that I must post a pic!
