Has it really been over a year since I posted?
I need to get it together!
I have been spending time with my beautiful granddaughters.
What fun they are!

Nonna's ramblings for this week!
I really need to take time to journal on my blog!
Get it together, Sonya.
On a brighter note, we had a wonderful dinner at Eric and Erin's house last night.
It was a birthday celebration for Marty and Curtis.
It was a fun evening.
On Wednesday I had an appointment with an Orthopedic surgeon and scheduled
total knee replacement on my right knee for May 21st.
Thursday, Marty and I had Amelia here most of the day.
She loves playing outside with her Poppy!
I have a ton of things to do to prepare for surgery and recovery.
Guess I had better get started!
If you are reading my blog, please pray for me and my family.

Has it really been almost 4 and 1/2 months since I posted on my blog?
So much has happened!
Mom had carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists last month!
My brother, Jeff took her for the first one and I took her the second time!
Jeff will be taking her to the doctor tomorrow to have the bandage taken off!
Today would have been Mom and Dad's 57th anniversary!
We all miss him so much!

Amelia's baby sister, Sydney is due in November.
She weighs 4 lbs. 13 oz. already!
Life is busy with work, babysitting, etc.
I've been working on getting yard sale stuff together for the Hwy. 411 yard sale going on this weekend. Marty has my stuff with his store stuff and he and Sara are working it!
So far, I've made close to $90!
Not bad for not having to be there!
Starting this week, I will be babysitting Amelia every Tuesday for Erin to go for her doctor appointments! She has to go twice a week until time for Sydney to be born!
Today I am trying to get laundry caught up and get some cleaning done so that I can get the house decorated for Fall!
I love the Fall decor! It makes me happy!
I'm also making a pot of chili and some cornbread!
With this cooler weather, it seems like the perfect meal!
Fall is in the air!
I love it!
Guess I had better get back to work!
See you next time!

Amelia had her first dentist appointment this morning.
Erin said that she did well.
I met them at Chili's for lunch.
I had a great time chatting with them & sharing my potato soup with Amelia.
After lunch, I went to Kohl's to buy socks for my hubby.
And then I went to Starbuck's and got a venti Caramel Ribbon Crunch frappacino.
I usually get hot drinks, but decided to try cold instead.
It was good, but I still prefer my hot latte!

Apparently, the business of life keeps me from keeping up my blog posts!
So, here are some highlights of what has been going on.
In mid February, we were snowed in for a few days.
Marty slept at the store for 2 nights, so that he could be there for his customers.
I was home alone, having some me time.
In mid March, we took Eric, Erin & Amelia to Phoenix, Arizona for a family vacation.
We had a lot of fun!
I'm having trouble figuring out how to upload pics from my IPad to the blog.
When I learn how, I'll post some!
The day before Easter, Eric & Erin hosted a dinner for the grand parents at their home.
We got Easter cards from Amelia. Inside, it read, I'm going to be a big sister.
We were told it was to be kept a secret until Erin's Dr. Visit in May.
But, now we can share it.
We are very excited that in November, we will be Poppy & Nonna once again!
On May 7th, Amelia turned 2!
She is precious! We are having a blast playing with her!
She is so smart!
Her pediatrician told Erin that it has been a long time since he saw a two year old that is that smart!
I give Erin credit for that! She is very diligent, teaching her new things!
And, Eric too! He has been teaching her to swim since the weather has been warmer.
She is learning fast!
This coming Saturday, they are having Amelia's birthday party.
Looking forward to a fun day!
I'll close for now & posts more pics when I learn how!
I'm not known for my tech savvy!

Hey y'all!
Life has been busy so I haven't taken the time to blog!
Eric & Erin will be closing on their new house at the end of the month!
Nonna will be doing a lot of babysitting when they start moving!
Marty & I are adjusting to life without his Mom!
We are enjoying spending time together alone!
Amelia & I went to Fairmount today to surprise Poppy at work!
Erin was able to have a few hours for herself!
Tomorrow, I will be spending most of the day sorting coupons and planning shopping trips!
Hopefully, I can work in some time for menu planning too!
I need to get as much of my work caught up as possible so that I'll be ready for all that time Amelia & I will be playing together at the first of next month!
And speaking of work, that is what I must do!
Time to get off the laptop & get to work!
